Topics: Polished Concrete

Common Ground Church has big plans to change their design and décor of their worship facility such as building a café, a new palette of colors, and 3-D structures extending from the hallway walls. The first part of this construction process was removal of the existing carpet and installing polished concrete floors.  The new floors are affordable to maintain, increase the lighting, and provide a neutral color to the space. The process included removing a thick coat of carpet glue, grinding, honing and then polishing the concrete surface. The floor was also treated with a lithium densifier and penetrating sealer to add long-term durability and protection. Polished floors can also be customized with colored dyes, stains, engraving, and decorative saw-cuts.
